5x microfiber case and the adopted slim protective case. So of these cases are actually made by adopted except the slim case actually has the adopted branding right there. While if you want to get the official nexus.
Case. Its actually gonna say nexus right. There nexus on the inside nowhere on this case.
Will you actually see that it says adopted. But theyre both made by adopted both exactly the same dimensions. Basically.
The same depth. You know both of them have the same exact thickness and all that good stuff. So.
The main difference here as you may already know is this microfiber feeling on the official case and that basically makes it have a better grip. But youre also going to get a little less simplistic design. Here.
Youre gonna get this actual hexagonal design. Here.

Well. If you were to get this. Theres no design.
So this looks more simplistic. If youre more of a simple person you can go with this one. Although with this one.
Though this one actually feels a little bit more slippery in the hands. So what happened was i first initially purchased this one because i like to 20 price tag. Better you know im gonna be honest here.
I like that 20 price tag wasnt really feel like spending 35 on a case. Got this one like the first day it immediately just slipped out of my hand. I was about to go put inside pocket and this thing literally just flowing on my hand.
So. I contacted google you know they said can keep this one they refunded me and then i bought this one 35. So far.
Im really liking this one a lot better as you guys could see youre definitely gonna get a smaller hole here for the camera with the microfiber case which i like so theres less of a hole. Which means theres not so many openings which i like more of a closed off case. And theres also more closed off right here on the microfiber.
One theres actually that line separating that sensor and the flash well here. Its just a big opening.

So yep this one definitely feels a lot more premium in the hand as well. I believe it feels just more of like an official premium case. Well this one just feels like a flimsy thing could be made chyna not sure if it is actually.
But of course. I definitely have some quality to it you know its an official case approved by google and everything cut outs are perfect cutouts are perfect on this one. I just have to say you know that i just really like the feel of this one so far no slips at all and this one does seem a little bit more balanced than a desktop.
More you know theyre both basically the same you know they still arent flat as you can see right there youre definitely still going to get some bezels. There or youre gonna get a little bit of a bump there or the cameras so your phones still not gonna lay flat. But i actually have my nexus 5x right here and were going to go ahead and test.
It out with this case first one is the microfiber case so there it is im gonna sign right in and so here it is and this is basically the microfiber case on it and as you can see a period as that will cut out for im pretty sure thats the nfc and then here we have the camera. We have a sensor. We do have the flash.
We have the fingerprint scanner works really easily you know i can still easily just pick. This and grab my pocket just like that and its immediately on which is very nice and then on the bottom there we do have that cutout for the usb type c. Port.
And then we do have the microphone right down there and then we do have that headphone jack. So everythings good you know button still easily clickable as you guys could see everything very easily to be clicked. And i could just turn it off i can easily double tap that open up my camera you know and overall you know this is just a nice case.
You know has a nice feel to it i really like that design. But again.

If you dont like to design. I highly recommend going at this one 15 cheaper you know free shipping at least for right now with google. If you dont ever like it you know most likely you can ask for a refund not even have to send it back so its always worth you know purchasing one and then just trying it out you know and then just see if you like it or not.
But this one. I actually like the fingerprint hold better this one actually has more of like as you guys can see actually kind of goes down. And its actually kind of like chamfered right there and it just goes right down into the fingerprint scanner.
While this one you know theres just a flat out you know no chamfer there at all so you know its kind of basically what you like i would like this design. You know so far. This has picked up no lint at all in my pockets or anything.
So. Thats nice. Im sure quickly gonna go ahead and try out the other case and then ill let you guys know about the other cases that are actually available on google.
They actually have that folio case where you can actually put you know its actually the microfiber one. But theres a folio cover going over that thats five dollars more runs out for forty dollars. I mean if you really want to protect your screen.
And you dont care about having a flap always over they have to open up then i guess. Thats good for you they also have that speck candyshell case. I really dont like the appearance of that i think it just really looks like unattractive and there are big openings.
Everywhere. You know a bunch of things going on definitely dont like that one my best bet would be for this one.

But heres this one for you guys to show you guys fingerprint scanner still easily accessible. I could pull that thing right out. And its ready to go they both are the same thickness.
So you know that that necessarily that too big of a deal. I mean it definitely looks like this was more of a simplistic one. But this thing is pretty slippery.
I mean it doesnt really have the best grip. It did actually have added some grip here. Its actually kind of like sandpaper eyes not really too much.
But you definitely get a grip going on there. But i mean overall like if youre about just like that or something this thing can easily just slip out your hand like a hockey puck so yep and i just want to go ahead and show you guys basically right here. The different colors that comes in so it comes in carbon quartz or emerald.
Thats for the microfiber official case. And then the other adopter protective comes in carbon. Clear frost or.

What do you yes what do you have for us today. We have something extra special. We have the hundred and fiftieth anniversary of jack daniels song.
So i think you guys should probably stick around and find out what we think about this bad boy all right welcome back to trini and see so that were not rude. We should probably introduce ourselves im tranny. Im see thats where it ends all you need to know so um you know why did we choose jack daniels.
Hundred and fiftieth anniversary as our first bottle well i what a good question thanks for asking because its its a classic you know jack daniels. The old number seven i mean what better bottle to pick as your first review for the old man club calm. I agree okay its and its you know associated with being distinguished and gentleman right so while away the helmet just like this cloth.
Yeah alright so what we do here at trini and see is we review whiskeys not just tennessee not just bourbons we get into scotch irish canadian japanese taiwanese if they basically the still a spirit that is in the same context as whiskey. We do it will turn get out we will drink it and tell you if we like it. Whats unique to us is we have a new unique scoring system for every bottle.
We look at what we look at the color. The nose. The taste and the finish and the viscosity so what we do is we score each of those five categories separately thats right on our own scale before before we do our review.
We score it individually and then we dont cheat off each others with notes know anything everything is done separately. So that we can get an individualized kind of look at each bottle and then we combine those numbers and we give basically an average or a total. Score and the score ends up becoming out of 3333.
Yeah. So you know thats a little bit unique most scales. That youre used to for wine or whiskey or up to a hundred ours a little different because we weight each of those categories and we give a little bit less weight to color.
Because it can be manipulated like in some whiskies for that matter yeah and viscosity because it has less impact on the spirit then less people care about this cause lets be honest yeah mouth appeal isnt really as important as taste yeah so anyway were always gonna look at color nose taste finishing viscosity. So keep that in mind. Yeah.
So should we get right in look. We should get into it for sure so again we always check out the color with bourbons or tennessee whiskeys which we will talk about they dont add any extra coloring to them. So.
This is a hundred percent natural color straight from the the charred barrel. This guy. Compared to the regular jack daniels.
Its been said that they use a little bit higher of a char on the barrel.

So it might get a bit more on that maybe a nota four gives it a little bit more of a darker color. So i call this my personal opinion with a deep dark bronze. Yes.
That is very accurate not oh yeah well im gonna get a little look at that there see if you agree with yeah. Bronze. That its got that golden beautiful light shineth it captures the light really well yeah.
Jack daniels. Almost has a red tinge to it at times too depending on the light kind of hittin. The bottle.
There exactly so should we mention before we get into the other categories about the difference between tennessee whiskey and bourbon yeah. Theres not much theres not much difference. Its really kind of legalities.
More than anything and jack daniels was the company that basically came up with the idea of creating tennessee whiskey. Which still follows the same rules about new age oak barrels 51 corn in the nashville same as bourbon really the only difference in tennessee with you that it needs to be made and produced in tennessee. And i think the thing that distinguishes jack daniels in their you know marketing campaign is that its filtered through a maple charcoal filtration system so it runs drips through the charcoal and thats pre aging yeah.
And that could partly have something to do with the car. Yeah yeah. So do this jack daniels always kind of has this classic.
You you could probably put it in in any glass line it up to anything and if you know jack daniels well enough you like yeah. Thats jack daniels for sure and why is that its got the banana and blue nose to it and ive said it before you can probably see the same old thing in other videos. But it does this one i dont find it as heavily as the original number seven yeah and i totally agree i know it sounds ridiculous.
But yes. The jack downs has some distinct banana in it and its that alcohol that makes it gives it that kind of gluey note to it. But it has more traditional nose to it as well like the nutmegs.
The vanillas brown sugar yeah. Exactly exactly a little bit of cinnamon in the nose. Yeah.
But as you said this bottling. The 150th anniversary and its the 150th anniversary of the distillery. Yeah.
Which was eighteen six 6h of 2016. So this is a limited release. But yeah how was i talking about there well basically.
This is i dont know if this is what youre talking about man.

Its one of the theyve released a couple of versions of the hundred thats what i was going with it yeah. This is very similar to the basically the old number seven. Its the same recipe and everything its just farther than a higher strength.
So this is 43 or what do they call that 86 proof. And thats basically the only real difference. The thing is is its a limited release and its kind of meant to be a collectible item.
So grab it buy it store it away take a couple for yourself for not unreasonably priced by any means. So yeah. We should probably taste this and the other thing is just i mean it just is that distinct jack daniels knows yeah.
And its also got that distinct jack down in the flavor. Absolutely. Its even though its water a little bit higher strength mhm.
Its very manageable on the palate. No its not harsh in many ways. Its i guess if you could say its a little rough around the edges.
Its just because this hasnt been aged. Very long its been you know aged to the same standards as any straight bourbon whiskey. Which is two years so but it could be paged longer its it but it is its like you said mellow easy drinking.
Its got to me. It has a bit of a strong almond flavor up front. Theres a sweetness to it almost a molasses in there definitely and brown sugar.
Yeah. And then and then thats where that jack daniels banana comes near me. Just a little banana split.
Going on exactly. I was gonna say ice cream and so i find the banana and ice cream. In jack daniels that kind of creaminess.
But its really up front with this one it kind of starts at the front of the palate with that banana and it looks like glue which we say glue like its a bad thing. But its not because you find that kind of elmers glue. A lot in up in bourbons.
Yeah. And its actually quite a pleasant. Yeah.
Its a good glue that clearly is to eat eat longer a kid.

Yeah. There is a sour kind of thing to it a little bit citrusy. But not too much its more than like savory side and fruit banana yeah.
So lets get into the finish okay bit of bit of oaky bitterness to me on the finish. Where i get the oak usually definitely we have aged a spirit in oak barrels. Before and its a really good thing to do to see what that oak influences and you can definitely taste.
The oak jack now see no hasnt been in there long. But it does have that pronounced over and then i also get a bit on the finish a bit of a walnut thing going on yeah. Theres definitely a nutty influence to jack daniels for me.
I was thinking. Its like honey nut cheerios. Where it has kind of that nutty thing.
But its got a cereal grain to it and yeah. This kind of feeds. Youre welcome to viscosity the one are you ready for visit on sudheer youre still drinking it well viscosity is kind of equal to mouthfeel and how much when you put water into the glass which we havent mentioned you should put a little bit of water into your whiskeys.
After youve kind of got to know it a little bit because it does bloom. The flavors and usually it doesnt drown it jack daniels doesnt need it im the water because announces its are any low blows. No strength.
But they were already watered it down enough yeah. Thats true so the viscosity kind of comes with that if you add a little bit of water you can see the the swirling mists and the thickness of the liquid and some are lot more syrupy than others this isnt sickly syrup. You know it but it has that same classic number seven taste to it with a little bit more heat.
And you kind of get that heat rolling down the back of your throat. There as as you finish it off essentially. This is made in the exact same process as old number seven just boggle a little bit higher and specialty bottling.
Which is always cool yeah so uh anything else you want to bring up about this particular bottle uniqueness anything about jack daniels that we should cover here we missing anything im sure theres plenty. Im sure you people out there can tell you that you can tell us what else were missing that for the most part. There are other versions of this you know i think theres the higher strength version and a little bit differently in each country.
Some of the bottles are 700 milliliters a little bit smaller bottling in the canada in the canada in canada and the us we get the 750 so that privileged yes. But there are commemorative issues of the big box yeah they go full out on some of them. And some of them are bottled at 50 theres i mean for you jack daniels collectors out there its a nice thing to put in the collection because theres just so many that you can buy out yeah.
Notice. This one like said. I mean the its got a kind of a cool kind of a cool label on it its got a little bit of information on it not a lot.
But its something different and i will say this jack daniels is still probably widely used as something to mix in coca.

Cola or or is mixed mixed. Drinks. And thats totally fine with this one there it is very mixable.
But ive always found jack daniels. Quite pleasant to drink just try it all right we better get on with jesus or im the early three source. I know you know i gave it a twenty four point nine.
One oh two thirty three point three three. See you gave you the twenty five point five eight 11. Which in turn gives it a twenty five point two five okay.
So what were gonna do thats twenty five point. Two five here at trendy and see we are going to be keeping a little chart yes. We stole the idea from top gear.
But thats fine so youre gonna need to move over just though little bit. There you know i probably cant even see me that good all right so we got our old man club chart. Here.

This is mike and i coming at you with a review of my lawnmower here and i hope you enjoyed that fun little fake infomercial at the beginning. But i want to talk to you today about this lawnmower. I think its most important to have a lawnmower review after someone has owned the lawnmower for a few years.
I do see a lot of people get them our they bring it home and theyll do a review on it unbox and review it but that to me doesnt decide whether its a good mower or not thats doing it day one of course. Its gonna work right when you bring what i care about whats gonna happen years later whats gonna happen with the warrantee wears off this thing is packed with features from electric start to front wheel drive ease of adjusting the wheels and just a lot of them one of those features. Im going to show you a couple of few things about it and then hopefully you could find one.
The problem. Also is it is three years old. And youre given your opinions and your reviews.
The model numbers change. But they still make something similar out. There.
The charter now ive owned this for three years so after having it for three years. I think i could speak to his performance. Very well you only have to charge it like once a season.
So thats definitely a plus on this mower now. What is a its rated with this biggs and stratton 725.

Which is a 163 cc motor. Which is pretty big and one of my theories is the bigger. The motor is then the more it can handle thicker lawns and it could handle pushing through a lot more the wear and tear.
It can handle a bit more wear and tear. Because motors bigger is more power. Its not gonna die on you or stall as often its just simply because its a little bit bigger.
Another thing you may notice about this is that this does not have a primer on it so as a self priming carburetor in there and i did have to clean. It once. But i really like the fact that its a self priming carburetor.
And you dont have to pull and pull and pull or prime. It and then pull pull pull so you just started just push the button to start. It also we have this here to clean eyes.
I never use that really. But its a feature that i thought was standard on all mowers. Theres a lot of low end mowers that dont have the little cleaning function on it so yeah.
Its kind of cool. I like that it does have the front wheel drive self propelled. So yeah.
Thats the front now the advantages of having the front as it makes it easier to turn when youre turning just push down and the wheels can keep spending. When you can push down and turn dont have to keep letting up off of it. But its to me the front wheels better.
But downside of front wheel is all of this is in the way all of this is gonna be in the way. So that you cant get to the corners as easy. So youll have to edge.
Really well before you mow so all of this needs to be edged edge like that much thats the downside all these blemish. It is an outside and its been an issue for a long time.

Its just you have to get used to it operating. The mower is very easy you simply hold down the quick release switch and push the button to start. And thats it lets started cold start it up right away.
Nice and easy you want to show you the bagging component of this and it is actually pretty big become almost standard. Nowadays to have such a large opening for the bag. And thats way you can capture more grass in there you dont have to empty it as often and it doesnt plug up quite as bad as some of the older models like my first model that i had now youll want to make sure that you keep your air filter clean and this air filter.
Ive had for three years. And its actually probably could use a little little little dusting off so they are reusable you can get a new one. I probably should just get a new one.
But its still operating fine you dont want it to be starved for air. And i better check that back on theres much fun is taking it off. I also really like the one touch height adjustments now i keep mine a little higher than most people.
But youve got one for the front one for the back. So you simply push it and outward and lift it and itll do the whole front now my old mower had each wheel. He had to do and theyre not had a lopsided bit to do so i do like this do i thats just right like the porch the back is pretty much the same but wait here yeah like mine music the elector start also has an actual key to it you could just take it out and take it with you.
But i dont i just dont see the point thats what the key looks like its not just a button. Its not this isnt your fathers oldsmobile anymore. You enjoyed my review of my mower good mower.
Thats lasted. Me three years now expected to last at least a decade or longer my other one lasted thirteen years. It was a much cheaper one these usually sell anywhere from three down below me where i can find this model and i think its the best model.
The problem is three years after buying it they change up the model numbers they change up the features and they change up a whole lot of stuff. So my knee and subscribe comment. If you have this one or if you have any other issues or if you think that i need to do repair videos on this because i had to do one thing was cleaning harvard.

You dont really need that much im gonna go ahead and take this off and remember these are reusable. Guys welcome back to house hardhome music. Were in the middle of some home home renovations. Im vlogging that too thats gonna be coming up soon.
I filming that so its in the middle of that its not fully done so all thats happening and some of you would have heard of trail mix or you know. Its just a mixture of dried fruit and nuts. And you get all these big boxes in the big stores at costco or walmart or superstore or wherever else if youre in india.
Im not sure i havent really seen in india. But it should be there im sure so this is something you can make at home easily guys. I just have a few dried fruit and nuts some i have more quantity some less.
I just want to use up so im just gonna show you guys and ill explain as we go here. I have some this does thats unsalted and not roasted lets just drop this toss that im peeling here and here i have some cashews that are again raw not roasted or anything. And some almonds and for this you need this coconut slice because we love toasted coconut and this is just dry coconut slices that i get at the indian store and then i love this thing.
This is dried mango. If you have never eaten this. Oh please please eat it it is so good it is so good and i have here a quarter cup that ive chopped up with this dried mangoes.
They are so yummy so so sweet and you need some peanuts here that im gonna roast up and take the skin off here. I have some currants black currants and then i have some raisins here in this bottle. And some dried apricots just a few that i need to use up.
And some fig as well.

I guess um yeah. Some figs here that i will cut up if you have dry dates. They work great as well and just a few walnuts here that i need to use up again.
I just want to clear up and im just gonna make a mixture of all this and it is so good to snack when youre hungry. Its so healthy because it has all the nuts and all the dried fruit. So its a nutrient rich you can add any kind of dried fruit.
You want to this you can add. Dried jackfruit. If you get ya.
Anything. Dried. Dried.
Figs dates. Apricots are good. I love dry mango and coconut.
Really adds a very good flavor. If you like the flavor of toasted coconut. Its great so and im just gonna quickly do this and show you guys the process.
So i have quarter cup of dried mangos here to this im just gonna fill up this cuff to make it one cup.

So it will be one cup of dried fruit of your choice. Whatever you want so im adding in some currants. There okay just to fill that up with one layer of currants and youre gonna fill it up with another layer of kismis or raisins any color.
Any kind you can use yeah so nuts dont stay out very long. They dont stay fresh. If you have them out so.
Just i have these small quantities in this bin here in these jars. And then the bigger packets like this i just keep them in the fridge or freezer. Because that way they last longer and they dont turn rancid.
They stay fresh. So theres another layer of kiss mess and im just gonna roughly other which i dont know caitlyn im gonna roughly chop up these dried apricots that i have and add those in as well and the fix you so i have all those dry fruits roughly one and a half cup. Here.
You can add the dry fruit of your choice. The quantity of your choice. Whichever one you want to increase or decrease.
Now im going to get my other dry nuts ready. I have a mixture of this glass here inside. And some walnuts that im just roughly breaking up into small pieces or you can just buy already broken walnut pieces and to this.
Im adding.

Some cashews you can split them or add. Them whole so goes into the ball so again roughly one and a half cups. I will still be adding the toasted peanuts as well let me show you the pan.
Ive added about quarter cup of peanuts dried ground nuts and im just gonna no oil nothing im just gonna lightly toss them and once the skin starts turning brown. Ill switch it off and then cool it down and unpeel them this is how they look once they are well roasted and you dont need to put any oil as i said im going to toast the other nuts as well and i wouldnt be adding any oil because when you add oil you run the risk of them going rancid sooner. So the trail mix because of the oil content.
It will go rancid or stay and quickly so just by toasting the nuts. What you do is you release the natural oils in them. And thats enough and as i said make small batches or if youre making large quantity store them in the fridge or freezer.
And whenever you want you can take some and store them in a smaller container. In your pantry or kitchen shelf. And have them.
And keep replenishing. So thats my small tip. And im going to let this cool down and then peel them music and thats your diy nut.
Mix or trail mix or whatever you want to call. It dry fruit and nut mix is ready and guys. A handful of this is so healthy.
I think theres so much nutrients in this i can tell you and its a great mid morning snack or a late evening snack or youre sitting in your office.

And youve had your lunch. Or maybe lunches and are away. And youre just feeling so hungry or craving for something just have this good snack and you can just keep munching on it wherever you are on the go or if youre relaxing.
However. Its just so good like you get the sweetness from the mango and the raisins and the apricots and the dates and the figs and all of that and you get the crunch from you know the coconut. The peanuts and almonds are so yummy so so yummy the one great thing about doing your own trail mix or your nut mix at home among other things is you can customize it however.
You want if youre buying the store bought ones you get what they have in the you know box already. But you might not like something that goes along with something else or whatever or you might not like one nut or the other but you like the other things. But if you make it at home you can customize it to what you like you can make a very berry nut blend.
Where you add sensitive the mango and the raisins you can add berries you can add dried blueberries. Dried strawberries dried cranberries dried apples and then mixing all of the other nuts and oh im sure that itll taste lovely just just imagining. It is making my mouth water.
And i can smell the very smell it just takes you know a little bit of effort where you need to chop or you need to roast and toast. But its worth it its it saves money and its so healthy and so yeah. Thats it guys i just wanted to share that simple healthy snack with you all that you can do it yourself.
I know its so tempting and so easy to just reach onto that box in the store and just put it in your cart and then enjoy it. But if you can just take out a little bit of your time. One evening or one weekend and make this and keep it for the whole month.
Then you know its its fresh free from preservatives free from anything any chemicals. And its homemade and its so healthy and its just so good so it just makes me so happy to make it and to share. It with you all and to eat it so im gonna go and enjoy this music that guy you know what to do music.

Everyone and welcome back to my channel or welcome. If youre new today. I im gonna be showing you guys how i made my vanity mirror with a and some lights from amazon okay so pretty much what youre gonna need is a frameless mirror.
I got mine from home depot. I got my lights from amazon. Im gonna make sure i put all those in the description below.
Im using a tape measure just because i want to make sure everything is straight. You can use a tape measure and a ruler.

Whichever one you have heres some tape you can use scotch tape. But in my case. My mom found some electrical tape.
So i ended up using that okay so i went ahead. And i just got an old t shirt and wipe down the mirror to make sure. It was free of any like fingerprints or dust before i actually started okay so what i really like about these lights is it has like the sticky thing at the bottom.
So you literally peel off the sticker and stick it right to them there and every single one of the strings in between each light bulb has a little tie thing around it so i would go ahead and just start untying every one of them just because youre gonna need um to stretch the lights out a little bit to get it around there music okay and now that ive eyeballs and kind of got a feel for where i think that the light bulb should go im just gonna double check and make sure that theyre kind of at like an equal distance from each other the ones at the top are gonna be a little bit more spread apart than the ones on the side. And i roughly was able to get them anywhere between seven and a half and eight inches and then the ones.

I think at the top were about nine. But you dont have to follow mine inventions. It really depends on which lights.
You have as well as the size of your mirror. Music music. Okay and now that were working on the opposite side.
I want to make sure that the lights are aligned just because to me thats what feels right and i noticed that when i did this one it was actually too high and i tried to pull it off myself. And i couldnt so i ended up having to kind of stick it up with some scissors.

It did leave a little residue on the mirror. But its okay if you have some acetone whether it be you know like the ones that you get from home depot are the ones. I use for your nails.
You can go ahead and use that put it on a little cotton ball and wipe it off which im going to do later in the video music and i know you see those little strings. The little wires. But obviously were not gonna keep that there were gonna actually go ahead and tape it to the back of the mirror and i know earlier i showed you guys some regular regular scotch tape.
But im actually using electric tape just because in my house. My parents literally have everything and my mom really wanted to crucify me for trying to tape wires with regular tape.

So she ran out in the garage and got me this. But if you dont have it im pretty. Sure youll be fine with just regular tape music music.
Okay. Now this part right here is a little self explanatory you just plug the thing and the thing and then you plug it into the wall. Im sorry i dont know the terms for it.

Guys welcome or welcome back to my channel. So for this weeks video. I im gonna be sharing with you a pottery barn slipcover hack.
It will save lots and lots of money so if you have not seen. It already i put out a video where i bought some old tired pottery barn sofas from let go and they were just in bad condition and i just redid the cushions on them before i purchased these sofas. Which did not have slipcovers.
I researched online and i found people saying that the ikea act or couches were very similar to this and you could use the slipcovers on them. And thats as far as it went nobody on the internet that i could find actually showed what they looked like on the sofas. Ive just heard people talking about it and saying that they were gonna get it and i was like oh.
Thats amazing like you can get those slipcovers for really cheap way easier to stomach than several hundred dollars for each of them. But as i bought these sofas and the sub covers. I realized that they did not fit really well like at all i mean they fit on it.
But there was just banging everywhere so without further ado let me show you how i tailored my ikea exhort slipcovers to my pottery barn couch and lets see both of them. So this is what the sub covers look like on the sofa. Without any tailoring.
You can see that theres just bagginess and excess fabric. I mean if they slip on there. But thats about it music so the first order of business was to take it off and put it back on inside out.
So you have access to all of the seams. So im gonna start on the arm first i just went ahead and made everything tight as i could and started pinning. It down just to hold the fabric in place music music.
After you have everything seem ripped. Youre gonna want to breathe tighten everything back and tailor it to the curve of the front of the couch.

You do this by lining up that piping with the seam of the couch. Thats already there and then pulling the fabric taut on either side music so for this corner. I did not want to have to deal with hook tailoring the corner so i just pulled it tight.
So the corner fit and then i had this team here to seem right music so for this one you dont have a scene to follow. Because it doesnt fit quite perfectly. So you just want to bring it as hot as possible and pin it down so for this part underneath the armrest.
Im just pinching the fabric together and seeing where it needs to go under the crease. There and then pinning. Where my fingers land music.
Applause music music. Now the technique for sewing is just to so basically on top of your pin. Very slowly and carefully and just remove the pin before you break your sewing machine needle.
Which i may or may not have done. The trick here is just to go slow okay. So i sewed this straight line here to get it to taylor here and you see that its drooping a little bit.
Im gonna attach a little bit of velcro to that because theres a velcro strip on this pouch already. If you dont have a velcro strip on this couch. You can just use some fabric glue and glue a little piece of velcro.
There and thatll just keep it nice and tight right there i put it back on just to show you where im at right now. But if i were doing this without showing you i would just so all of this and all of that where i pinned it before. But i wanted to show you where was that and kind of just show you just this coming together.
Excuse. All the mess um.

My house is a disaster at this point. But i just wanted to show you how its coming together and just try to make it as clear as possible and try to confuse you as little as possible. But now i am going to go ahead and just pin all of this together.
I may trim this just to make it so its not bulky like this i will trim it all the way across and go ahead and pin. The sides and i will pin this you know as i did this point and seam. All of it so i trimmed off the seam allowance just a little bit there to make it less bulky and here im just pinning.
The piping along the seam is the same as i did on the curb music okay. I put it on the right way this time. And this is what it looks like all finished.
I need to iron. It out of it it looks way better way more tailored. Its not you know factory.
But its so much better than it was and so much cheaper. So now i have to tighten all of this together. And what im gonna do here is i am going to seam rip.
Here up to there and along there and just have this panel. Not have a seen going down the middle. So im gonna just tighten.
It on the sides to you know have it match. This one which is very messy and disheveled for the rest of it im just going to pinch. It here and kind of sew.
A straight line you know up and over on the back. I didnt want to try to not have the seam on the backside.

Because thats just a lot of work because this is a lot of curves and you know its already done so i dont want to mess with that yes thats my dogs toy box. But yeah i am going to put it back on inside out and seam rip and tighten everything up music. Okay.
So im in the middle of pinning. This all the way up and over the backside. But i noticed that there is actually velcro on this already and i dont need it to attach the cushions or anything so i remove this from this side.
Im gonna go ahead. And do the same thing on this side. Im not going to film it because pretty self explanatory im just gonna seam rip that off and then im going to use it to attach this to the velcro thats actually on the sofa itself okay guys.
Another update for you my camera died. So i went ahead and did a few things i sewed up this center seam. Here all the way up there actually sewed it twice because the first time it wasnt tight enough so i just went ahead and we did it and for this bottom panel here.
If youre gonna do this only remove what like the center part and one side. You dont have to remove the other i just ended up reselling that back together and yeah now im gonna reap in all of this there and so along there. But i also wanted to show you the back here so this back part of the couch um.
I was gonna just do a center seam. But i really dont want to do that so. What im gonna do is i am going to and get close here.
Im going to take this and do that treatment to it and kind of just create it dont know what kind of pleat that is but its kind of its just a pleat and then im just gonna sew that there so itll have all of this excess fabric back here still. But its gonna have a pleat so itll be tight. Where it needs to be tight up here.
So im gonna go ahead. And do that so it and ill take you along the process with that music you music applause music to sew the velcro on there i just flipped.

It over on the right side. And did a stitch in the ditch. Basically you run the sewing machine needle through the same line that you already made when you sewed.
It previously if you want to know more about stitching in the ditch. Ill put an article in the description ok guys. I think im done i have sewn everything so now comes the part where im just gonna go ahead and trim of the excess material to about a half inch on each seam and just you know clean it up a little bit more and then after that i think were done this couch is done except for the velcro.
I have to fix i have to add the velcro to the sides because if you look here. Its just poaching out a little bit. And it would just look nicer if i had the velcro to attach it im gonna go ahead.
And do that trim this fabric and then i will show you what it looks like when its all finished and staged and a lot cleaner music okay so im gonna stop the montage of the finished product right now and just tell you because i forgot to say earlier that the slipcovers for the cushions and the back of the couch work. Without any tailoring. You kind of have to stuff the back cushions a little bit in there but they fit perfectly.
And i didnt have to tailor anything i just wanted to throw that in there so people werent pious as to why i did not tailor the seat and back cushions now back to the montage music. Thank you guys so much for watching this video. I hope it helps you out i know this video is not for everybody.
